Drum Circle with Mike Dettra
During the drum circle participants will play drums and percussion instruments from around the world. Popular songs will also be sung. Participants will learn and perform a wide variety of music from the Caribbean, South America, Africa, and North America.
No prior knowledge of music is necessary to perform. The whole idea of a drum circle is that it is a group performance experience with no audience. Participants are given a percussion instrument or may bring their own and everyone plays music together. My job is to "facilitate" the drum circle rather than be the center of attention.
