Practical Emergency Preparedness

A recent market research study led by the PA Emergency Management agency revealed that 74% of Pennsylvanians 65 years and older do not have an emergency plan in place.  This presentation will focus on practical tips and tools you can use now to start preparing for emergencies. Topics include creating an effective communication plan, assembling and using emergency supplies, and ensuring you’re ready to respond to challenges when they arise.

Mary Limbert serves as the Community Resilience Planner for Bucks County Emergency Management Agency. In this role, she collaborates closely with counties across southeastern Pennsylvania, volunteer organizations like the Red Cross, and local municipal responders to ensure effective communication and collaboration during emergencies.

With a background in public health, Mary brings a prevention-focused approach to emergency preparedness, emphasizing the importance of equipping individuals with the tools they need to prepare for and sustain themselves until additional resources arrive.
